I have a twitter account and don't have a clue how to really use it, though I add somewthing now and then, *I* am addicted to facebook however.

Oh I've found another computer time wasting activity. I think you'll like my new Facebook picture that I got from Lance's twitter.. :)

Exactly Amy! I needed something else to suck up all of my time.....Facebook wasn't enough ;)

Just to get you back, Sara...

I'm dreaming of a GREEN Christmas
Just like the ones I used to know
When the gift cards glistened
And I was listenin'
To Bruce-Bing-Mariah on the radi-ooooo

I'm dreaming of a GREEN Christmas
With every credit card check I write
May YOUR 401Ks not be as LEAN
And may all your Christmases be GREEN

:) :) :) $$$$$$$

I remember learning this in Spanish class in high school! I love the internet--how did we ever live without it? I even found some websites for my old favorite show "Dark Shadows"!!!

Twas the Night Before Christmas
(Spanglish version)

'Twas the night before Christmas and all through the casa,
Not a creature was stirring - ¡Caramba! ¿Qué pasa?

Los niños were tucked away in their camas,
Some in long underwear, some in pijamas,
While hanging the stockings with mucho cuidado,
In hopes that old Santa would feel obligado,
To bring all children, both buenos and malos,
A nice batch of dulces and other regalos.

Outside in the yard there arose un gran grito,
and I jumped to my feet like a frightened cabrito.
I ran to the window and looked out afuera,
And who in the world do you think that it era?

Saint Nick in a sleigh and a big red sombrero,
Came dashing along like a loco bombero.
And pulling his sleigh instead of venados,
Were eight little burros approaching volando.

I watched as they came and this quaint little hombre,
Was shouting and whistling and calling by nombre:
"Ay Pancho, ay Pepe, ay Cuco, ay Beto,
ay Chato, ay Chopo, Maruco, y Nieto!"

Then standing erect with his hands on his pecho,
He flew to the top of our very own techo,
With his round little belly like a bowl of jalea,
He struggled to squeeze down our old chiminea.

Then huffing and puffing at last in our sala,
With soot smeared all over his red suit de gala,
He filled all the stockings with lively regalos,
None for the ninos that had been very malos.

Then chuckling aloud, seeming very contento,
He turned like a flash and was gone como el viento,
And I heard him exclaim, y ¡esto es verdad!

Merry Christmas to all, ¡y Feliz Navidad!

This doesn't look good for Rock:

but seriously, who has the money to buy expensive clothing these days????

She's ALiVe!! Sara you silly. No wonder we haven't heard from you in weeks. New house, old house, holidays AND twitter??!?

OMG, susieb and cathy, you guys are toooooo funny (welcome back our wandering friend sooozy!). I must go and look at the Twitter and Rock link. BooHoo in advance for the Bad Boys of Cycling.

PS, did ya'll know Nikki will be officiating this next season? (a little bird told me) Hmmm, the question is, can she be bribed? What exactly would it take....

Hi, Sara ; ) Cute picture. And wow, when you said you write freelance, you weren't kidding! I mostly write content for small business websites or (the shame) SEO articles.

Kiersten? Who are ya and how did you find this little desert island?

We used to be fun til Sara found a life....

Hey! Susie is back! Welcome home :)

We're getting dumped on here again -- though it sounds like most of the country is now. SNOW in Las Vegas and Mississippi??? What the???

Welcome, Kiersten!

I'd better get back to Christmas preparations, but just wanted to check in to tell everyone to stay warm and drive carefully in all of that SNOW!!

Sara!!! Good to hear from you again....I need to check that twitter site!
We are getting lousy weather, but nothing to get too excited about...but NO SNOW. And they promised!!!!

just saw this....

And I've been to Brad's blog. He was with jeremy Powers and not there to see a couple of his best buds acting like brats....I also know said racers, and Cale is an 8th grade school teacher! They should have taken me with them!

Thanks for that link - who is the woman, I have never heard of her?

But what I came here to say was Merry Christmas to you all. I hope you have a fabulous holiday and eat way too much. (That is certainly what I will be doing).

Joyeux Noel

Oops, I guess I should have said 'happy holidays' so as not to exclude anyone...

Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays, everyone.

I've been obsessing about the economy & the stock market the last 4 months so haven't been able to write lately & while my obsession will likely last at least through next year, I do hope to start chatting here again as I miss you all very much!

As for Lance, didn't he just break up with Kate Hudson? And that he could apparently impregnate someone the "natural" way is almost as much of a shocker as him coming back to pro cycling! Now THAT'S what I call a "comeback"! ;) :)

Merry Christmas, everyone!! And Happy Holidays!

If Lance didn't want to get too serious with anyone(Kate Hudson)...he didn't exactly think this out!lol
I wonder when we'll find out who this Anna Hansen is.....

Ohhhh noooooo.... you guys have been overcome by Twitter. Back away. (ha ha!)

I wish I was on board with Twitter but it seems silly. And I only say that as I'm already sucked fully into facebook so I don't see any added benefit from something like twitter. Seems like FB offers more fun and just as easy. I will admit I've gotten some good giggles off of reading some twitter folks but I generally have people telling me to go take a look at the laugh. Good for it for making it huge, seems like Lance, Taylor Phinney, George, DZ, etc are all out there doing it but for now I will live in my little FB world and just continue to laugh when told to go read. :-)

Huge HAPPY NEW YEAR to all of you. I for one am looking forward to 2009. 2008 wasn't horrible but with the accident last Christmas, the appendix, the dizzy thing, I am just ready for a new year. Hopefully some new insights and new adventures will help make it a good one!

Stay safe and have some good fun tomorrow night!

I hope all of you had great holidays and Happy New Year to to all! not long until the Tour Down Under whoo-hoo!

I've never checked out facebook, but I've looked at the twitter thingy and I can see how it becomes addicting, even though there is no interaction there--just enough to keep you looking, huh? Lance is really using it well to promote his comeback, I think. I mean, he has this reputation of being kind of cold, yet here he is being (in a way) accessible to his fans on an almost personal level--sometimes even responds to comments--it will be interesting to see if he keeps it up during race season.

And Nikki, I am with you on the health issues--2009 WILL be a better year, right? Right!

A happy and healthy New Year to all the IAers!

From what I've read, Anna Hansen is definitely not a piece of celebrity fluff - she sounds like someone who has a lot in common with our boy Lance.

>> As a Colorado native, Anna loves nothing more than being outdoors, and Vail provides the perfect setting for her favorite activities, mountain biking and snowboarding. Anna graduated with a degree in Biology from the University of Colorado at Boulder. She has been a volunteer at the Children’s Hospital in Denver and serves on the board of directors for Camp Wapiyapi, a foundation providing hope and support for families with childhood cancer. Hansen is a Program Manager and Recruiter for First Descents. The organization is located out of Vail and helps offer outdoor adventure experiences for young adults with cancer.

Gosh, thanks Barbara!

Well, Happy New Year everyone. Here's hoping you are snuggled in with someone(s) you love (human or other creature!) or a really, really good book, which is sometimes better than most people!

Stay warm and here's looking at a bright new day tomorrow!

Amen, Cat!

HAPPY NEW YEAR to all! It was great to hear from folks who haven't been around lately!

I'd completely forgotten about the Tour Down Under -- we will surely get MUCH more coverage than usual with the LA comeback and I, for one, am ready for the new season!
